Earl's Music Memories

Whilst we were over in Birmingham we hit up the Rag Market. Just outside we found this guy, Earl. Every Tuesday and Saturday for the past ten years he has set up and sold reggae CD's, Rizzla and Incense. Earl started up by selling his products from the back of a trailer, now with a bit of personal investment and some speakers his little Ragga wagon is felt throughout the street. A local celebrity.

We went to check out our nearest New Era store this weekend. The Birmingham outlet is said to feature the worlds largest range of New Era headwear. The store boasts a large range of apparel, including colaborations with various brands such as Mishka and Kid Robot. If you're looking for a fresh peak, no need looking much further than here.

Gadget Show 'The MW2 Challenge'

At Greasy we've always been fans of the world renowned Call Of Duty, so it was in our interest when we discovered that the Gadget Show was to air a Modern Warfare 2 challenge. Tonight at 8pm on Channel Five, Jason Bradbury will be competing against an ex-special forces operative in a timed accuracy test on 'The Pit'. However Bradbury will be on a pad and glued to his television, whilst the operative will be on the trigger doing the real thing. Check out the trailer below.

Rusko Debut Album

Set to be releasing his debut Album, ‘Woo boost’ Rusko is already a major name in the Dubstep scene. His 'OMG' album is ready for release May 3rd and we are certain that he will not disappoint.

'Shut Up'

After watching the teaser back in February, we discovered that Pac Div have released the full version of the highly awaited "Shut Up" video. The video was directed by Ken Koller and features the infamous Cool Kids. Enjoyable stuff.

A-Trak and Travis Recap

After touching on the collab between A-Trak and Travis Barker earlier on in the month, this fresh video has appeared on the net breifly documenting the build up to the event and the performance itself. Check it out below.

"He Hasn't Seen It"

This ridiculous video has been captured of a lorry pushing a Renault Clio down the A1 at around 60mph. The lorry driver claims to have been unaware of the Clio hugging the radiator... we're not so sure.

'Anchorman' SB Dunks

These were copped a while back now, however the box has only just opened. They are the Nike SB Dunk Lows that took inspiration from Will Ferrell's roll in the 70's based film Anchorman, where he plays the top rated news reader Ron Burgundy. Classic comedy film, these sneaks were worth every penny!

A Turn For The Better

With the clocks going forward at the end of this month giving us an extra hour of light, the weather looks like it could be taking a turn for the better.

''When You're Strange''

''When You're Strange'' is the first ever feature documentary about one of Los Angeles most renowned and charismatic rock bands, The Doors. Directed by the award winning Tom Dicillo, and narrated by the studious Johnny Depp, this looks to be one of the most influential films of 2010.
''When You're Strange'' is set to be released on April 9th in the US; however the UK release seems uncertain. Still, we're definitely looking forward to catching this.

Kissy Sell Out Essential Mix

The Kissy Klub! Kissy Sell Out, doing what he does best in front of a lucky crowd last week in Newcastle. The outcome, a live essential mix full of fresh club bangers and heavy basslines. Definitely not one to be missed.

A-Trak and Travis

Would have loved to have seen this. Beneath is a short clip of  A-trak and Travis Barker joining forces to form their first live gig together at the Roxy in LA. 'Apache' followed by 'pon de floor', absolutely massive.

King Tubby

King Tubby was murdered after leaving a studio session on February 6th 1989. Anyone who knows about Tubby will also know that he was the pionner of dub music and the inventor of the ''remix''. He was debatably the greatest mixing engineer ever to live.
One of our favorite King Tubby tracks below, 'Zion Gate Dub' from the album 'Loving Memory', aswell as an educating clip from dub echoes documententing his musical talent.

''There is only one King Tubby, I don't think we are going to have another one''.
