Exhibition

Last night was the opening of a two day art exhibition at Finham Park School showcasing all of this years work and efforts. Two of the Greasy team had work here, Richie has just finished his final year at 6th form and myself James still with another year to go. There's some great talent at Finham and the two day exhibition gives a chance for students to get some recognition for their work.

Another favourite of mine in the exhibition, this painting. I really enjoy the emotion in the eyes and the in depth stare.

Day 2

On returning the next day our jump was still in one peice, unfortunately we began constructing another smaller one to come back and find it was gone. A quick fix and we had it back as it was. Wanting to have more to ride, we decided to start work on a berm. This time round I photographed the build from the start. First step laying out the logs.

With the logs now covered with enough dirt, we thought it would be time to try it out.

Not completely satisfied with it, we opted to increase it in size by adding another layer of logs,  consequentely making it steeper.

Allowing time for the berm to harden, we have yet to try it out yet, no doubt we'll be up there later today! The next few shots are of my own bike, still needs a fresh lick of paint, I'm thinking purple or green.

Jump

With two of the Greasy three out the country in Turkey, i've set myself a challenge for the week to try and have a post each day. Yesterday me and a friend met up to go for a ride, undecided on where to go, we picked up a shovel, pitchfork and bow saw and set off for the nearset woods. First time into these woods in a few months and there's been some change, upside lots of cut up logs perfect to construct some jumps!

A couple of hours later after starting from scratch we had this. In hindsight should have captured the jump going up at different stages, but you learn from your mistakes.

My friend has always been interested in bikes, and the last few weeks his whip has taken a new look with new parts. Definitely a good look.

And there would be no point building a jump if your not going to ride it! The plan is to add more to the track over the next few days, i'll try to keep you updated.

Lady II

The weekends now come and gone along with the Godiva Festival for another year. Saturday provided warm weather and sunshine, adding to the atmosphere where there was live music, alcohol rammed areas and a wide range of foods. My only ask for next year is to modernise the music line up and stick a middle finger up to the residents who petition to have the festival finish at 10:30pm. Greasy Goes Turkey

We'll be back down to one man again for a week as the rest of us are headin' off to turkey. No doubt we'll have something to show from it. See you in a week.

Lady

Every year on the first weekend of July Coventry hosts one of the UK's biggest free festivals, the Godiva Festival. Over the three day event, there's music, the Godiva Carnival Precession, fun fair and much more. We'll try cover the festival as much as possible over the next couple of and bring you our photos from in and around the event, keep locked.

Cut Short

After months of one of our team saying they were going to buy the Joby Gorilla Pod to assist in our photography, yesterday was finally the day when that talk turned into action. At Greasy along with our friends we are intrested in bikes, we ride hardtails, fixies, and racers. This being one of the main reasons for the Gorilla Pod. Yesterday evening we met up for a ride, and the Gorilla Pod was experimented with for the first time, not much to show from the ride as it was cut short when the heavens opened up. Expect to see a lot more over the coming months!
